The active substance in Hydrogalen® akut

Hydrocortisone, also known as “cortisol”, is a hormone naturally produced in the renal cortex of our own body. Cortisol plays a role in many of the organism’s metabolic processes and is vital to human health.

With hydrocortisone (cortisol), HydroGalen® akut Creme contains an active substance identical to our body’s own cortisol.

It is the mildest corticoid for topical use on human skin.

HydroGalen® akut Creme is an over-the-counter product obtainable without a prescription from your local chemist.

HOW TO APPLY
HYDROGALEN® AKUT

  • Apply a thin layer of HydroGalen® akut to the affected areas of the skin (avoid contact with eyes and mucous membrane).
  • Use once or twice a day.
  • Do not use for longer than two weeks unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Treatment of eczema: once the eczema has visibly improved, continue treating once daily for a while to prevent a relapse.

All instructions apply to children aged 6 and over, and adults.

    HydroGalen® akut 5 mg/g Creme

    Active substance: hydrocortisone

    Application: HydroGalen® akut 5 mg/g is an anti-inflammatory cream for topical application to the skin. It is used only for the short-term treatment (two weeks maximum) of more moderate inflammatory, allergic or itchy skin disorders that respond well to topical treatment with mild corticosteroids. For adults and children aged 6 and over.
